Are you aware of your true dreams? Can you see some progress toward them? Are you satisfied with what you’re doing and how you spend your time every day?
If you’re like many people, you may not know where to start in doing this evaluation and reflection. I don’t mean to make it sounds daunting, especially if your typical day is rather stressful.
I tell my clients that it’s important that they discover what the most important qualities, values, and needs are in their life. It’s an invaluable step toward helping someone maximize their happiness and fulfilment.
A mixture of meditation, brainstorming, and journal writing is very helpful for many people in coming up with what their goals are.
One of the best things you can give yourself is daydreaming time. It allows your brain the freedom to make connections between ideas and clear the clutter that may be blocking a brilliant idea or solution. Take the time as well to think about what really energizes you, what makes you feel alive, and provides you with happiness.
Once you’ve done that, prioritise that list. Think about which are most important to you and which you would enjoy doing the most and take an action step on it quickly.
